Oversteer Final Instructions

Oversteer Final is controlled by using the keyboard. The left and right arrow keys (or J and K keys) are used to steer left and right respectively. The up and down arrow keys (or A and Z keys) are used to accelerate and brake/reverse respectively. The spacebar is used to activate your handbrake. The T key is used to activate your boost, the L key toggles your lights, and the H key sounds your horn. The enter key may be used to reposition your car on the track. The backspace key may be used to return to the main menu at any time.

Oversteer Final Walkthrough

Oversteer Final is the sequel to the earlier driving game, Oversteer. This iteration of the car game features six tracks, broken into three groups of two based on difficulty. Graphics, sound effects, and basic gameplay have remained the same.

The objective of Oversteer Final is to complete three laps on your chosen track in as fast of a time as possible. There is no time limit, nor are there any opponents to worry about in this car game; simply maneuver around the track as quickly as possible.

Oversteer Final features two useful tools to help you to complete each track: the handbrake and the boost. The handbrake (spacebar) is useful to drift on sharp turns in order to avoid colliding with the edge of the track. If you are able to time your use of the handbrake properly, you will be able to turn without reducing your acceleration, making it easier to beat each track in record time. The boost (T key), on the other hand, is useful for speeding down straight segments of track. You are only allowed to use the boost five times per level in this car game, however, so use it wisely.

In Oversteer Final, it is very easy to lose control and bump into the sides of the track. In order to avoid this, be sure to make turns slowly (or use your handbrake) and to make slight corrections to your course by tapping the steering keys rather than holding them down. If you bump into the side railing too much, this car game will automatically place you back in the center of the track. You may also do this manually by pressing the enter key.

Oversteer Final is a solid driving game, but it does have one critical flaw. Occasionally, the automatic track placement function may place you in an area that is impossible to maneuver out of. If this happens to you, the only way out is to quit to the main menu by using the backspace key. Another minor gripe is useless tools such as the lights and the horn. These elements add a complete driving game experience to Oversteer Final, but an extra nitro boost or two would have been far more useful.

Oversteer Final is a major improvement over the original Oversteer, and is sure to please fans of the original car game. Oversteer Final is still challenging, and may be daunting for new players, but if you keep practicing, you'll get the hang of it. If you're ready to shift into high gear, be sure to check out Oversteer Final!
