Skid Works Walkthrough

Skid Works is a car game that puts you behind the wheel of a high-performance race car. This car game features detailed graphics presented from a top-down viewpoint, minimal audio, and fast-paced gameplay.

Skid Works gives you five cars to choose from, each with their own handling, speed, and acceleration characteristics. If you are new to this car game, I advise you to choose the fourth car since it has the most well-balanced statistics. After you have chosen your car you may choose to drive on one of two tracks. I advise choosing the second track if you are a beginner since it is easier to differentiate between the track's surface and the background. Once you have chosen your car and the track that you wish to drive on, you are ready to get this driving game underway!

The objective of Skid Works is to complete three laps on the track in as little tie as possible. You are not racing against any computer-controlled opponents in this car game. For your lap to count, you must stay on the track for the majority of the time and pass the checkered line on the track. If you spend too much time off off of the track or pass the checkered line while driving off-road, the end of the lap will not be registered and you will have to go around the track again in order to complete the lap.

In order to complete your laps as fast as possible in Skid Works, you will have to be careful when making turns. If you choose a car with good handling, then turning will be easier, but in all cases you should make turns slowly and carefully. Applying your handbrake while making sharp turns can also help you to make turns easily while maintaining your acceleration. On straight segments of track, hold down the up arrow key to accelerate to your maximum speed. There are no nitro boosts in this car game, but your maximum speed will suffice, especially if you have chosen a car with a high top speed.

Skid Works is a challenging car game that will put your reflexes to the test. Regrettably, the developer did not add AI-controlled opponents to this driving game, but you can still enjoy zooming around the track as fast as possible in Skid Works!
